I want to share with you a few of my photos, that have been taken while traveling around Panama, Georgia,
Ukraine, Russia, & Turkey. Enjoy!
Michael's Photogallery & Travel Tips!
Below is a photo of me in Rize, Turkey. I loved visiting this very exotic and friendly town on the coast
of the Black Sea in eastern Turkey. Turkish Tea and Baklava is a great refreshment, and in this
area, the best I've experienced in my lengthy travels around the world! It's a great area to do some
hiking too, as well as see some beautiful nature, and awesome cultural and historical sites!!!

The next photo below is of my trip to Poltava, Ukraine, as I lived in Ukraine for a year, interestingly
enough, during the Orange Revolution. This was in late June 2004, as I traveled to Mirogorod from here
with my Chinese American friend Eddie, and Ukrainian buddy/interpreter Alex. Poltava is a very nice
city, with a very nice underground modern mall in the center of the city. Mirogorod is really nice, with a
sand beach on the river passing through the town, and some great sanitoriums, and a famous water
bottling center there. Anyone spending time in Ukraine knows of this great water. In Georgia, I used to
buy Borjomi by the case, and LOVED it, as well as enjoying the experience of the water drinking gallery
at Kislovodsk Russia, where 3 kinds of excellent minteral waters are offered.
The Blue Mosque in Istanbul behind me a very interesting place to visit and the
gardens surrounding this are a great place to relax.

I personally took all the above and below photos (my wife may have taken a few). However, am
inspired to travel more, especially when I watch this VERY cool vid below "WHERE THE HELL
IS MATT?"
What I love about Turkey is not only the tour buses there, and the friendliness of the people,
and the sites like Rize, Sumela Monastery (which is a very mystical wonderful amazing location),
Istanbul, etc. but also the Turks have this baklava and turkish tea which we took breaks for,
and even the buses pull off to the side of the road, and we drank this tea for a break. I love
visiting Turkey! It's too bad more people from the west fail to visit this amazing place! Of
course Turkish rugs are among the most beautiful and exquisite in the entire world, and yes,
they are world renoun for their bellydancing!

I love Turkish culture, the country, the people. I recently was on a Turksih airlines flight again in
international travel, and I love the food, the people, and the family oriented culture, as well as the
great smiles and places there. I strongly encourage anyone wanting to do international travel to visit
to Turkey and see the great many sites, and learn the culture and people... it's a great country to tour
and see.
PHOTOS I TOOK WHILE IN MOSCOW RUSSIA

Regarding the above video I created:
She invited me to attend a voyage to Alaverdi Monastery, a 4th
century Georgian Orthodox Monastery about 2 and half hours
outside of Tbilisi Georgia, and later with her classmates and
teachers, we had a picnic in a forest, before and after which
these photos were taken, and then for night photos, we all
stopped by "The City of Love".
Georgia is a predominantly Christian country, with centuries of
being attacked historically, often by Muslims, which border her
on the east and west sides. I photographed a 12th Century
Church which partially stands in ruins to this day from an attack
by invading muslims in Kutaisi Georgia, when I was last there in
2006. So I asked her today, what is "The City Of Love" of which I
now have many night photos of. She said that when one of the
former wars was with invading muslims, many Georgians went
to this "City Of Love", where many children dove into the waters
(some helped by the parents) to hide there, in secret hiding
places, while the slaughtering muslims were invading. They
saved the Children there, during this war, in this "City Of Love".
